Costa Rican Lingo

Just in case you ever come to Costa Rica here are a few key words.

tuanis=cool
you should always say usted intsead of tu, it is much more polite
pura vida=awesome, cool
garrobo=big iguana

    Very good things to know! Of course, the MOST important thing that my Spanish tutor taught me is "puedo tener un Coca cola light por favor"!!!

    what about "mai"?
    many Costa Rican men I have met end all of their sentences with the word "mai".
    What does it mean?
    Is it similar to the Canadian "eh"?
