In Costa Rica, there is no such thing as silence. There is constantly animals chitering and howling. The bugs make weird noises all the time. Plus, you can't go very long without hearing someone shout. It's chaotic!!!!!

Hi Grace, What an interesting observation. I'm wondering if the howler monkeys and scarlet macaws you saw were wild or were they pets? I have never seen a scarlet macaw in the wild but I did see a couple kept as pets in Guatemala. Nana
